Winners Announced for the UK Sports Law Competition 2017
Sport Resolutions would like to congratulate Millie Broadbent and Billy Methley from Sheffield Hallam University for winning the UK Sports Law Competition (UKSLC), which was held at Wembley Stadium on March 1st.
The competition comprised of 40 students from 20 different universities taking on several sports specific legal scenarios, acting as professional advisors on behalf of fictitious clients. The students were judged by a panel of independent judges, which included Sport Resolutions’ CEO Richard Harry.
The winners, who are both 3rd year law students, took home the highly sought after UKSLC Trophy Shield, as well as tickets to the Sport Resolutions Annual Conference 2017 in association with Winston & Strawn LLP.
Ryan Adams, of Shulmans said: “We had a great day hosting the second UK Sports Law Competition (UKSLC) and it was a huge success. All the students gained a lot from the competition and clear the future of the sports industry will be in good hands. I was pleased that Sport Resolutions were one of our prize sponsors for the second year in a row and more so that Richard Harry was able to be a judge. I and on behalf of Shulmans LLP and UCFB, would like to thank Sport Resolutions for their continued support, as without them the competition would not be possible.”
