Sport Resolutions Annual Conference 2018 themes have been announced
Sport Resolutions Annual Conference 2018 will cover three important subject areas for discussion by an esteemed panel of sports professionals, from both the playing and executive side.
In our first session, Athletes and Their Mental Health, we'll be touching on concerns about the welfare of athletes and contemplating how to build a system to prevent harm. We will hear first-hand accounts from athletes, and those who work with them, of how these pressures can adversely affect wellbeing and negatively impact thought processes and behaviours and, ultimately, performance.
Our second session, Is Integrity in Sport a Hopeless Ideal?, will review recent events and the actions of major stakeholders to examine where integrity lies today and will explore what steps may need to be taken to create a new world order where integrity has global application.
In the final session, Transgender Athletes and Their Right to Compete, we will be focusing on the rights of the transgender athletes' involvement in their respective sports. The session will consider and explore the issues surrounding transgender athletes, both ethical and physiological, from the legal, scientific, individual and regulatory perspectives.
