Lance Armstrong Faces $100m Lawsuit
The United States Federal Government lawsuit against banned cyclist Lance Armstrong will proceed to trial after a federal judge denied Armstrong’s bid to block the case.
This now clears way for the case to go to trial, a lawsuit that former team-mate Floyd Landis started back in 2010 on behalf of the government.
Stemming from the former cyclist previously admitting to cheating during his seven Tour de France titles between 1999-2005, it is alleged that Armstrong defrauded the government by taking performance enhancing drugs while riding for the publicly funded US Postal Service Team.
