CAS lifts provisional ban on Russian bobsledder due to contamination
The Court of Arbitration (CAS) has agreed to lift a provisional suspension imposed on Russian Bobsledder Nadezhda Sergeeva.
Sergeeva was disqualified from her 12th place finish in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in February, following an anti-doping violation for trimetazidine. However, CAS have confirmed the positive test was caused by a contaminated product.
Sergeeva's case with the panel continues, but any final sanction can be reduced to take into account the seven-month provisional ban she has already served.
