Martyn Dew is a recently retired Police Officer. His last position was Detective Superintendent Head of Public Protection for Gwent Police where he was responsible for child protection, vulnerable adults, domestic abuse, sex offenders, rape and other serious violent crime. He has chaired numerous multi-agency groups in the field of child protection and has undertaken the Senior Investigating Officer role in a number of complex child abuse enquiries. He has been the management author of a number of Serious Case Reviews involving both the deaths and serious abuse of children. He is involved in the sports of tennis, squash, equestrian and clay pigeon shooting.
