- Outcome: 2 years Ineligibility (with a reduction of six months)
A decision in the case of World Athletics against Deajah Stevens has been issued by the Disciplinary Tribunal.
On 30 March 2020 the AIU issued Ms Stevens with a Notice of Charge for committing an Anti-Doping Rule Violation relating to Whereabouts Failures.
The Disciplinary Tribunal consisting of the Hon. Robert Décary QC, Thomas H. Murray and Joëlle Monlouis determined that an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) was established pursuant to Article 2.4 of the 2019 IAAF Rules. As a result, a two-year period of Ineligibility was applicable, subject to reduction based on the Athlete’s degree of Fault. The Panel found that a reduction of six months to the otherwise applicable period of Ineligibility was appropriate in the circumstances. Ms Stevens’ competition results after 17 February 2020 are disqualified.
