NADP ban boxer Ryan Barrett for 15 months

Professional boxer Ryan Barrett has been banned for 15 months, backdated to 27 April 2012, following a hearing of the National Anti-Doping Panel.

Mr Barrett failed an anti-doping test having ingested the prohibited substance methylhexaneamine, which is commonly referred to as MHA.

A National Anti-Doping Panel of Robert Englehart QC, Lorraine Johnson and Dr Barry O'Driscoll, reduced the period of ineligibility by 9 months after taking into account other cases that involved the ingestion of MHA and where Rule 10.4 applies.
