    Paul Gilroy QC appointed as Legal Member of National Anti-Doping Panel

    Sport Resolutions has announced the appointment of Manchester based Barrister Paul Gilroy QC to the National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP).

    In welcoming the appointment NADP President Peter Leaver QC said:

    "I am delighted that someone of Paul Gilroy’s calibre is joining the Panel. He will play a key role in helping to ensure that athletes get a fair hearing when faced with doping charges before an NADP Tribunal"

    Paul Gilroy said:

    Paul Gilroy has extensive experience of chairing sports disciplinary hearings and employment tribunals. He is an Appeal Board Chairman and Specialist Member of the FA’s Judicial Panel and has been a part time Employment Judge since 2000. He is a Barrister practising at Nine St John Street Chambers, Manchester, and Old Square Chambers, London.

    The National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) is an independent body established to determine anti-doping cases and appeals in sport in the United Kingdom. The NADP is independently operated by Sport Resolutions under the judicial leadership of NADP President Peter Leaver QC.  The NADP operates under its own procedural rules and is afforded jurisdiction through the UK National Anti-Doping Rules which have been adopted by 95% of governing bodies.
